Thank you for the tag  I actually sat the IAL Edexcel Unit 4 in January, but I'll be happy to help anyone with topics that overlap with the Edexcel specification (I think almost all do)

I just realised that in copying the title from last year I forgot to change the day of the week that the exam is on! It's actually a monday this year

Is there anyway for a moderator to remove the 'Thursday' in the thread title?

Ah that's brilliant, I didn't know whether you sat AQA but I see you on the maths and physics forums quite a bit so I figured you may be interested in this thread. Thanks for offering to help!
just checking in, this isnt going to be much fun :s-smilie:
How is everyone with content? Have you all finished the syllabus yet or...?

Finished Unit 4, I'm currently studying through Unit 5 Applied Physics on the Thermodynamics section. Watching a few MIT lectures to get the hang of the theory first and then I'm planning to do questions.

Have you finished the syllabus?

Pretty sure you can edit yourself
I'm actually struggling with Physics. I am fine with my Maths and Further Maths revision and I get my A*'s in those consistently but I'm so inconsistent with Physics and getting anything from A to D across the past papers. Anyone got any tips to revise Physics? Best ways? (Past papers, any recommended youtube channels, etc)

I'm struggling with the explanation questions more. I do fine in most calculation questions.

We're onto the last two sections in the optional topic (Option D: Turning Points)

much preferring unit 5 over unit 4 currently...

You could look about or ask your teachers if they can get you old spec papers if you want more than just the current spec ones?
Old spec multiple choice is definitely something to consider as AQA tend to recycle a lot of their multiple choice questions. You can get old spec MC on physics and maths tutor
http://www.physicsandmathstutor.com/physics-revision/aqa-unit-4/

http://physicsnet.co.uk/ is good for revision notes too

In terms of videos I mainly use these:
https://www.youtube.com/user/DrPhysicsA

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZzatyx-xC-Dl_VVUVHYDYw
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkZ6jZF-9uxY86jKLU4Wqyw

(The last two are both by the same guy but the second one is more for Year 13)

Thanks, I'll certainly try the old spec MC now that you said that!

Nah we still have all of astro to learn

How many past papers have you guys done for Unit 4? And how many times do you guys usually do a paper?
Yet to do our ISA's. Has anyone finished their ISA's and already on revision?
How is everyone dealing with the lack of past papers? There's hardly any to do
