What are the best pubs in Manchester?
Hi
I'm staying in Blackpool on holiday soon and will be going for a day trip to Manchester on my own looking at colleges etc. I've never been to Manchester but have heard northerners are quite friendly. My ex GF was from here and was very friendly.
What are the best type of pubs? Country pubs or estate pubs?
I want to avoid city centre pubs as they can be expensive, rough and don't really have the genuine mancunian culture. I'm also looking to get a girl freind.
So I've thought of estate pubs as they are quite cheap and you can get home made food from them and chat with genuine locals. It will also give me some ideas on what are the best areas to live. Does anyone know of the best areas to find such pubs?
