Computer science related EPQ?
I am currently in year 12 taking Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Economics for AS Level. My school also requires us to complete an extended project qualification. I have always wanted to learn programming and I intend to apply for computer science at university. What are some extended project ideas I could do to learn programming? I have no previous experience at all however I am doing 1 week of work experience in the summer holidays at an IT company which I believe specialises in cloud computing; I would like to incorporate this into my project somehow. On another thread I saw someone had suggested creating a cloud network, however I would have no idea how to go about this at all. Any help or suggestion is much appreciated. Thanks.
I'm also open to doing something not related to programming as long as it would still be beneficial for applying to computer science at uni.

I also intend to apply for either computer science/maths at university, so I'm making my EPQ computer science related by basing it on artificial intelligence, as there is literally so much to write about with regards to that field, and my hypothesis is fairly elaborate and specific so I know that I shouldn't have issues answering my hypothesis.
Cloud computing also seems like a good idea, but honestly I wouldn't really have any idea on how to approach such a topic. I think AI is great because you don't really need to have much prior programming experience at all to write about it

I don't think I can tell you the exact title just yet, as I wont be formally submitting it until next summer.
But to put it vaguely, it's about the development of artificial intelligence and how it'll affect the productivity of future generations.
