Has anyone done ai core skills bootcamp?

I came across aicore which is a ai and data bootcamp, they are offering data courses fully funded by the government.

I am interested in their data analytics programme, anybody done this?

Hi,
I've just applied to the AI and data bootcamp course by AIcore which is supposedly fully funded by the government. I was just wondering if anyone else has managed to get a place or a response of some sort from AIcore?

I ask this because AIcore mentioned in a live webinar (which had an audience of around 700 members) that they only have 500 places for the government-funded program. However, apparently, after the webinar they planned on advertising the opportunity to over 10,000 viewers. Seeing as this is a program worth £7,222 being given away for free, I imagined all places for the program would be quickly taken within a day if not a few hours.

Surprisingly the program has been open now for almost 2 weeks. I just received a reminder to complete my application today and have now done so. However, I am concerned that this isn't a legitimate government-funded scheme as I feel like it has been open for far too long. Hence I'd like to know if there's been anyone who has got a place or has received any kind of response from them.

Hi I also applied for it today, the bootcamp does sound promising. As for the content and how it’ll get taught, I have no idea. Have they got back to you with any new information?

*Update* I have successfully landed a spot on the bootcamp, I will be studying DevOps. It took a little while to hear back and from speaking with the team they have strict entry requirements and they have confirmed my place is funded by the Department of Education through the Skills Bootcamp funding. Happy to answer any questions

*Update* I've also got a place on the AI and data bootcamp course by AIcore. I joined on the Wed 6 Sept so I've been on the program for around 2 weeks now. They were quite quick to get back to me- offered me a place a day after I had applied.
The content seems to be well explained and there is prompt support available if you get stuck. I've already completed 1 or 2 projects that will look good for future employers. I've decided to specialize in data science so hopefully should be looking to get a job in that area once I've completed the programme.

Hey, congrats for getting a place. I’ve been confirmed a place for the devops program, and look to start in the next week or so. With regards to the projects, have they taught you how to put them on GitHub? So, future employers can have a look on. Also, Is there any support in trying to find jobs? Oh yeah and last thing, is it achievable you reckon doing it full time to complete it within 7 weeks? Edit::::: Oh and small tip, apply to jobs whilst you’re doing the bootcamp. Add it onto your cv with a timeframe estimate and get applying.

I think it's definitely possible to complete within 7 weeks full-time. It all depends on your own learning curve, what kind of background you already have etc. I'm currently working and studying part-time and have made good progress so far. I think I should be able to complete the course all in a month's time from now. In regards to putting the projects on GitHub- it's all taught in videos and notebooks.

Guys I am on the program now and it is a steep learning curve with moderators to help anytime between 9am to 9pm. There are also special classes held to discuss a topic in depth. I have just been a week in the program and I have completed python basics from no coding to now writing comprehension dictionaries. It is too good to pass up. I recommend it. I work 9am to 6pm daily then when I get home I do a few hours a day so it fits a regular working life schedule

Hi Amahamud, are you still on the DevOps course with AiCore. I have been offered a place and also planning to do DevOps but not sure and would appreciate some feedback of your experience so far. Thanks in advance..

Hi. I've also been accepted on the course but I'm confused about them saying you have to look to get a job in the tech industry upon completion of the programme. What if I look into other industries, would I then have to pay 7k?

This is really useful, I have applied for this bootcamp (wanting to go down the data analytics or engineeering route) and wondered if it was legit also. How are you finding it now? It looks like you get a grounding in coding and software engineering and then you specialise, is that right?

Thanks for sharing that. Did they get back to you in a matter of days or weeks?

I applied over 3 weeks ago, got submission confirmation email saying expect to hear within 21 days, heard nothing. Emailed them a week ago to chase up and no reply. So frustrating as not getting anywhere with any of the bootcamps that have flexible attendance times. Currently trying to teach myself data analytics with DataQuest and it's very good.

Hi just a quick question .

Will they provide you any job after this bootcamp?
Hello, I would be interested in hearing from everyone who managed to get onto an AiCore Bootcamp, as I have recently applied. Would you be happy to give me your honest opinions of the bootcamp? Are you now in a job having completed the bootcamp and was this job attained with the help of AiCore? Any information would be really appreciated.
