starting uni and denied of student finance

Hello, my student finance application is being processed however I'm unsure if i will get it. I'm meant to be starting next week, what happens if i start then student finance denies me?

I don't think SFE will reject your application they may be processing it slowly (very slowly), that's what happened to mine. What Hertfordshire told me is that I needed to pay an interm of the tuition fees to them until my application was accepted. When SFE have sent them your tuition fees only then can you apply for a refund of the interm money you gave them. Lol does that make sense?
