Would appreciate any help with where i could apply for medicine:

    11A*s GCSE (+1 A)

AAAB AS (A in Biology, Chemistry and Geography, B in Maths)

    A*AA A2 prediction (+ A at AS Geography)

    703 UKCAT

Just look at the entry requirements for each course/university
pick the best/ your favourite 5
    then send off your application

Teachers have recommended i don't go for oxbridge because of the AS grades being on 'the weaker side'

Do you think Oxbridge could be a good option?

I think if you have the grades you should take any chance you cant get to win a place at oxbridge however im also aware that they really want perfect students, specifically cambridge dont look just at the grades but the ums mark to see if you scraped your grades or aced every exam. I dont beleive oxford do this however they have a very intense selection process and they really do look for the very best students. It really depends on weather or not you want to give it a go

You're a complete plank if you are confused about where you could get an offer from.I don't know a vast amount about medicine, but 703 sounds quite good in UKCAT, your GCSEs are near perfect, your AS are good and your predicted grades make you eligible for just about every university in England bar certain courses at some unis (Warwick Maths for example).
If you do intend to apply to Oxford, get a move on, if not just apply to the best four medicine universities, because with a half decent Personal Statement you have a decent chance of getting an interview.
But seriously, you're an idiot if you don't think you can get an interview pretty much anywhere.

Not if your teachers aren't recommending it as their reference won't be strong.

How important is the teacher's reference relative to the personal statement?

Having read my teacher's reference it seems normal, nothing special.

The reference is very important as it is written by a professional. There are key words teachers use to signal the strength of their support for your application.

I'm suprised you have read it as it tends to be confidential.
