Heya, just wondering how many of us are about, might be nice to know a few people before I get there who also doesn't quite fit into the 'regular' student bracket.

Me too! General anxiety disorder and social anxiety, so a whole barrel of nerves about starting 😱 I always get mistaken for being 18 though so hopefully it'll work in my favour

Is health your background? I've left the NHS, health is my background but I'm hoping my skills transfer from people to plants now, its natural to feel like we do. Especially considering people half our age are considered "mature" students, but don't worry, there'll be plenty of us. I've just heard my daughter might be on my course!! Apparently I've inspired her - no pressure there then! Lol

I want to be a social worker but didn't get on the course so I'm using health studies as a springboard to gaining my masters in social work

I did the first year of social work when it first started at CCCU (2004 I think!) but I hated the actual job, I burned out pretty quick, too much misery in people's lives and it really got me down, so fair play to you
