Why won't my school let me take my GCSE a year early

I recently got a grade 9 in year 10 in a 240 mark set of tests (2 calculator, 1 non-calculator, each test worth 80 marks) with 214 marks. Why won't my school let me take my maths GCSE a year early?
I'm not sure what kind of response you're looking for. No-one will know why your school made that decision.

If you really want to, you could sign up as a private candidate. There's a small fee and you may have to sit the exams at another school or college, but nobody can stop you from doing it.

For more details, go to the website of the exam board you're on and find their section for private entrance.

If they let you take it early then they would have to have a plan for what you did next year.
Complain or pay them to make you do it early.
