I recently got a grade 9 in year 10 in a 240 mark set of tests (2 calculator, 1 non-calculator, each test worth 80 marks) with 214 marks. Why won't my school let me take my maths GCSE a year early?

If you really want to, you could sign up as a private candidate. There's a small fee and you may have to sit the exams at another school or college, but nobody can stop you from doing it.
For more details, go to the website of the exam board you're on and find their section for private entrance.
