A level grades CCEA

in AS i got:

Chemistry : UMS (193)

would i be able to get an A* in chemistry after A2?

Hi ya, yes i wouldnt see that as a problem as long as you put in a bit more work. I think the A grade at AS level starts at 192 ums so luckily youve just made that. The entire alevel is out of 600ums with A2 bringing 360 to the table, to achieve an A* you need an average of 90% on a2 units so ie 324 out of the 360 as the bare minimum A2 ums to qualify for an A* and an average of 80 overall ie 480 overall marks or greater so providing you get an average of 90% on all exams this year ie 324 marks and thus have a greater overall mark than 480 ie you will have if u get 324 or more in A2 then you will be awarded an A* grade

seeing as AS level is 40% of the overall A2 can u pls tell me what percentage i got out of 40% with 193 UMS

40% of 600 is 240, so 193/240 = 80.04 %
