How do you get points/bars on TSR

You know how how every user has those little green bars by their username? How do you get them?

so you start off with one green gem... if people like the things you write on here they give you points. get enough points and another gem pops up...

You get repped by users on this site and once you get enough points you unlock a new gem bar.
