Hi!
Personally, I study History and History of Art (first year) and I spend around 12 hours at uni (I think it is the same for most of the people). Most first - year courses (actually all except one) are 15 credits and you have two lectures and one tutorial a week. That is if you are not doing something scientific but I have now idea how much time do the labs take. Also, I think languages are 4 hours a week (3 seminars, one practical). Generally, you are expected to take 4 courses each term, but you can take 15 Extracredits each session.
Starting from second year, most courses are 30 credit, which means less hours (yey) as you only take two of them.
