Would a university accept you if your one grade lower than predictions

i need a ABB for an economics course at Bristol university if i were to achieve BBB at results day would they still accept me seeing as it is only one grade lower?

In any given year they have to find out how many people make the grade and accept their offer. They tend to make more offers than places because they know some people will not make it.

When they know how many people made the grade and accepted, they know if they have any spare places. Competitive unis will have more people making the grade. If they have spare places, then they consider the near misses, extenuating circumstances etc. The closer you are to the offer grade the better your chance. They wont know more than that. You have a chance but it isnt a given.
