McDonalds , Sustainability, CSR and Business Ethics

How sustainable is the fast-food industry from the point of view of the triple bottom line? Over the years Mcdonald's has faced lots of criticism and have managed to respond to its critics in North America and Europe when it comes to acting socially responsible. McDonald's operates all around the globe so the main question would be whether McDonald's can have the same success in the emerging economies such as China and India despite the rates of obesity in both nations skyrocketing. Thoughts?
