Oxford physics gap year

I'm deciding whether to do a gap year and reapply to physics at Oxford. In terms of activities which would impress an admissions tutor or at interview, does this sound good? Doing online/classroom-based coding courses and maths courses, working in an experimental psychology lab doing experiments and coding, and doing some volunteering/tutoring in maths and the sciences.

All this sounds good.

We've issued this guidance previously but in case you missed it, candidates reapply every year. Some are successful (we have examples on course at Brasenose) while others are not. Either way, you will know by January what the outcome is.

The other point (which is an obvious one) is to ensure you are available to take the PAT and attend interviews if invited since re-applications are considered afresh. So gap year plans need to be compatible with the admissions calendar.
