University of Edinburgh
I don't think it is that competitive. When you apply to the diploma you are ranked according to your first and second year results and then the top ranking number of students who have selected Edinburgh will get offered a place there. From what I hear, most people get a spot unless your first and second year results are very poor. Even then, you may have a shot and you will definitely get onto a diploma at one of the other providers as I think there are currently more places than students across the board.
