When our teachers gave us advice on answering exam questions in GCSE, they said to always try to keep your answer in the space provided. If possible, don’t try to write outside the lines. You can ask for more paper if you run out of space. This is because the examiner only focuses on the answer written on the space meant for the answer and ignores the other things written outside.
