Choosing between BEng and BSc Computer Science
It is coming up to graduation very soon and my course all this time has been BEng/BSc. I now get to choose what my degree will classed as between these 2 options. Simply put, which do i choose? Some pros or cons would be appreciated. If it us purely cosmetic at this point which sounds best? Employment is already lined up to add extra context.
I know that they started as BEng being more practical and BSc being more theory. But all that seems to have gone by the wayside. A lot of universities now offer BSc as the 3 year course and MEng as the integrated 4 years masters. The Oxbridge courses are BA.
It just seems to come down to what initials you want after your name. In some countries apparently Computer Science comes under an engineering degree so BEng would be more apt if you intended to work in those countries. If you're staying in the UK it really doesn't matter so it's whichever you prefer.
