Qualifications to be An Airline Pilot

Hello, I want to work as an Airline Pilot, I completed my gcse and I have 5 Gcse but i don't have gcse physics, I contacted a college and they said i can do IGCSE physics. Is it equal to gcse? Is Igcse okay for British Airways? I know that for pilot we don't need uni degree so I really don't want to go to uni, but will it make a difference and gave me more opportunity by going there?
As far as I know, iGCSEs are the equivalent of UK GCSEs.

According to the following: https://careers.ba.com/future-pilots, it may help to have A Levels or IB for your MPL, but there is no mention regarding this for ATPL

Although I can't say whether it will give you more opportunities if you did a degree, I don't think arilines will favour the degree more than the experience. Having said that, it will help if you talk to someone who works in the airline business or is a pilot.
