AQA A LEVEL BIOLOGY - Carrier Proteins vs Channel Proteins

Can someone explicitly tell me the difference between carrier and channel proteins?

My current conception:

Carrier and channel proteins have quite similar functions in facilitated diffusion. However, ions and charged particles bind to specific channel proteins whereas carrier proteins carry large, water-soluble substances across the membranes. Furthermore, carrier proteins can also move substances across the membrane via active transport.

If I've missed anything, please add!
Spot on, main point in the mark scheme is the use of energy in both proteins.

So like you say, carrier proteins use ATP during the active transportation.
Channel proteins use a passive form of transport in facilitated diffusion.
