Calling Counselling Psychologists/Therapists/Helpers in prison/forensic settings
Hi,
I'm looking to pick the brains of any kind of mental health helpers who have/has worked in prison/forensic settings, or anyone who has been a resident in such a setting.
I'm interested in ethical/professional considerations for mental health/wellbeing/Counselling Psychology in these settings. This is for the purposes of a presentation on these issues, it's not for a research project and anything provided would be completely anonymised.
It's just so I have a legitimate angle to pursue in terms of an ethical issue, one that comes from (your?) actual experience.
I will also review informed consent and ethics with my lecturers to ensure I adhere to these, as necessary.
