Faulty equipment in practical test, has this happened to anyone else?

Hi all, realise this might be a bit late as I took my A-levels in Oct/Nov 2019 and mostly here just to vent/rant. Basically, 40-ish minutes into the practical I was told I had faulty equipment and would be given extra 20 minutes at the end of the entire exam. Well, needless to say, this really threw me and I completely bombed the exam which I attribute to me dropping from the A (in AS) to a B. Unfortunately, I sort of overlooked the whole thing at the time as I was too focused on the flood of upcoming exams and didn't pursue any grounds for 'compassionate marking'. This may be petty, as I am already in uni, but it still keeps me up some nights since Physics is my favourite subject! :frown:
