Clocks going forward

I'm so confused. I think my devices usually reset themselves.

It is 8am on my phone, i usually have an 8am class. Does this mean, if has not automatically reset, that it is 7am or 9am?

I have a class in a different time zone, if my device did automatically chang and my 8am alarm is right, why is someone saying i'm an hr early?

If it has not automatically reset then it would be 9am here, as the clocks went forward. However I think some countries don't have the clock change, or possibly not on the same date (for us it is British Summer Time now), so it might be that it is technically 7am, but clocks went forward so it is actually 8am here, but other countries didn't, so it is still the equivalent time to 7am there. Hope that makes sense, not sure I explained that well
