Hi, I’ve applied to go royal holloway university as my first option. I live in NW London and so I’m thinking of staying at the student accommodation as the uni is in Eggham. Would u recommend it? And do you recommend the uni?

Hi Laura! I study computer science at Royal Holloway and stayed in the George Eliot halls. While there are people who commute and that's a good option, I loved my time in halls. I actually met my best friend on the first night as she lived in my house! It's also good as you can easily talk to the people before you move in so that helped with my nerves. I also found the accommodation really homely and it was easy to socialise ☺️ Feel free to ask me anything!

Hiya! I also studied at RHUL and did politics, history and international relations, staying in George Eliot and Founders for my three years there.

I really enjoyed both places, especially founders as it was close to the library, was catered and had its own bar downstairs which hosted some good nights. Both were also easy to settle into and rarely had any issues with people or the rooms themselves.

Happy to be PM’ed for any questions

Hello,
If you're looking at catered accommodation options as well, I'd recommend Reid, as it's got a real community feel to it, plus the rooms are nice and spacious. The downside is the kitchen has no oven or hob, although you get 60% off in founder's hall to compensate for this, plus you can just buy a transportable cooker (not technically allowed but I've literally used mine in front of security and the cleaners on multiple occasions and they didn't bat an eye).
