Just confused on what H is?

2AgNO3 + 2HNO3 -> 2Ag(NO3)2 + H2 (silver nitrate + nitric acid -> silver nitate + hydrogen gas). So H is silver nitrate (AgNO3)
An acidified silver nitrate test is used to test the halide ions and the resulting ppt is white in colour. Thus, H is silver chloride.
