which laptop to buy? calling all computer nerds for advice pls

I'm looking to buy a new laptop thats good for gaming, studying/work, and travel (small and easy to carry). I'm not a hardcore gamer so I don't need a hardcore gaming laptop but I do play things like call of duty and fortnite etc. Not sure if 8GB ram will be enough for this or if i need 16GB?

I really love the Dell XPS 2 in 1 it looks so cool but wtf it's so expensive? when the HP Envy is half the price?

Does anyone have any opinions on these which would be best? I'm not a computer expert so perhaps all of these are bad value, can recommend any other better laptops for a better price? thanks
My grandma has the Lenovo Legion Y520 Gaming Laptop, and she loves it, it works awesomely for the games she plays. She's never had any problems with it. I recommend checking that one out.
