Mental Health Social Worker

Hi,

I’ve decided that I want to study social work at undergraduate level and once graduated I want to go into the mental health sector. There are a lot of negative comments about social work but personally I feel as if it’s a rewarding career if done properly. I’ve heard that once you get a job it’s very emotionally draining due to the paperwork that needs to be completed, could any social workers please advise me on what a day looks like when they are working?

Also, I would like to know the holidays you get and you’re working hours, I’m not contemplating on changing degrees but I want to be ready for what is to come.
