Computer Science GSCE to Computer Science A level

At the moment I am in yr 10 and have just started my GCSE subjects, although I didn't get to do the subjects I would like due to my school not providing them and it being too late to move schools, I am not that fussed. However I wanted to do computer science at A level and was wondering if not doing it GCSE would affect me that much.
Also happy to anything about computer science in general
Thanks

Hi,

I have a friend who does Computer Science A Level following on from GCSE, and they say that the A Level covers pretty much everything from GCSE, so whilst taking Computer Science GCSE might help you have a better understanding of what you are getting in to, it is by no means required and you should be able to do the A Level without it.
Hope that helps
