Research exploring the secondary school experiences of students of colour

I am an MSc Psychology student currently working on my dissertation exploring the role secondary school plays in the development of self-concept and identity in students of colour. My research is interested in your experiences and reflections of secondary school and how this may have helped to shape your identity. My research has been approved by my university's School of Psychology Ethics Committee.

Who am I recruiting for this study?

- Young people (18+) who have recently left secondary school education (includes sixth-form/college)
- Attended secondary school in England/Wales
- Identify as belonging to an ethnic group other than White

What will participation involve?

- Participants will take part in interviews on Microsoft Teams (these can be conducted with cameras off if you prefer)
- Interview questions will focus on how you define your identity, what your secondary school experiences were like, and how your educational experiences may have shaped your identity

If you would like to take part in my research, please direct message me with your email address and I'll reach out with further information about my research.
