(Comp Sci) Is a year in industry worth it if I want to do a masters

Title. Should I just focus on getting internships or is the year in industry more beneficial?

What do you plan to do after the masters?

If there’s even the slightest chance that you plan to get a job outside academia then a year in industry is a massive benefit for your career.

you can always do a masters after doing a bachelors with a year in industry anyway and, presuming you're applying/have applied to uni i'm sure at most places you can switch as it's literally only adding an extra year onto your degree so if you decide later down the line you don't you can just drop it.
Though i'm sure getting the help to get some work experience from the university that a year in industry will give you will be quite valuable considering the uncertainty about the CS/SWE job market atm.
