A fork is 71.29% iron. The carbon in the fork is 0.05 grams, the chromium is 10.44 grams, and lastly the nickel is 5.86 grams. How many grams is the remaining iron?

(a) If 71.29% if the mass of the fork is iron, what is the percentage of the mass of the fork not made from iron? Can you convert this number to a decimal?

(b) What is the total mass of the other components besides iron?

The total mass of the fork x (a) = (b) and the total mass of the fork = the mass of iron + (b)
