AQA Significant Figures - AS/A Level

For the AQA Sciences (AS/A Level), what rules do you have to follow when it comes to rounding to a certain number of significant figures? I'm a bit confused because I know it's the lowest number of significant figures in the data you are given in the question, but what if the main part (before they give you part a, b, c etc.) has 2 s.f and part a) has 3 s.f - when answering part a, do you use 3 s.f or 2?

I am confused as you, my teacher says lowest throughout whole question, even if carried forwards but some MS don't follow this so idk. I normally go 3sf if unsure.
