What happens on Open Day?

Interested in applying to Kingston University?
Want to come to an open day but missed the opportunity?
Do no worry, there are more opportunities to visit our campus and facilities at a later date!
In the meantime, here is a brief overview on what happens on our Open Days here at Kingston School of the Arts! :colondollar:

Registration, Freebies and Reception!
One of my favourite parts of Open day is the freebies and refreshments! Once you have registered at the entrance, feel free to drop by the welcome table to collect some information pamphlets, prospectus and freebies (eg. tote bags, stationary…) While waiting for the welcome talk, feel free to have a cup of coffee or tea at reception. They also usually serve brownies and a small selection of fruits!

General Campus Tours
While waiting for your subject talk, you can also take a general campus tour conducted by the student ambassadors to get a brief overview of the facilities and workshops! The tour is usually about 20 mins long and brings you through the library, canteen, 3D workshops, printmaking facilities, digital media workshops, photography and moving image workshops, and lastly the fashion workshops! This is also a great opportunity to ask any questions or doubts you have regarding your course of interest, the friendly student ambassadors from different courses will be more than happy to answer your questions! If you are interested in specific facilities, please do speak to the technicians during your free time and they will be more than happy to provide a more in depth explanation!:u:

Subject Talk and Academic Drop-Ins
Lastly, we have the subject talks which are conducted by course or programme leaders from the respective faculties! After the subject talk they will give you a tour of the course specific studios (not covered in the campus tours) and you can speak to them after the talk to find out more about the course!

In addition to the talks there will also be booths representing the different student services such as accommodation, student finances, student union and careers and employability! If you missed our recent open day, click HERE to find out more about other Open Day opportunities.
