Son wants to do medicine at Oxford

GCSE GRADES
Would it be impossible to apply to do medicine at Oxford with these GCSE’s?
Bio/Music/History - Grade 9
French/Latin/Chem/Phys - Grade 8
Eng Lit/Maths - Grade 7
Eng Lang/Further Maths - Grade 6
Any other suggestions where it might be possible?

You can't make a decision with only GCSE grades. You need to have likely A level grades and all the work experience etc on top. At the moment, anything is possible.

He would be most likely to be at an advantage to apply with his achieved A-Level grades of A*A*A or more.

GCSE scores are only used contextually, so it's impossible to know if they're low unless you know what school they went to. I got an offer with worse.
