Beyond Biology Spec help

I'm trying to aim for a high mark in the 25 mark synoptic essay for a-level AQA biology and I am struggling to think of any relevant beyond specification knowledge to gain extra marks. Can someone suggest a few facts or topics that could help. Thanks!

Hi! I think it's most important to focus on getting as many marks as you can from the biology spec, as gaining those extra 3 marks for beyond spec info can only be awarded to you if the examiner is happy with the rest of your answer. Otherwise, it's just a waste of time where you could have been focusing on getting 22/25. The 3 marks almost aren't worth it!!
Having said that, learning about Cholera and its toxins is quite relevant to some topics such as how its toxins affects movement of water and Cl- across membranes etc... However, its quite complicated to learn and is a lot of effort for just 3 extra marks. I'd recommend just focusing on your spec and on the other exam papers!!
Best of luck for your exam!!
