Help biology 😭

Help, I don’t get this question can someone explain it… part a isn’t relevant so I’m not sending that part

Do you need help with understanding the answer to the question. If so this is how i would intrepret the mark secheme.

When the person kicks the bed the organisms that are on the bed would be disloged and would be caught in the 1st net.But some organisms may escape the 1st net because they maybe too small or they go around,below, over the net. So if the ecolgist were to work downstream from 1st sample each time there will be more organsims caught than the last sample. This is because when the 2nd net is laid the organsims that will be caught will be organisms from the 2nd sample + organsims that may have escaped from 1st sample net.

By working upstream the ecolgist can be sure that there are no disloged organisms present already which result in reliable result for the area being tested.
