Politics and a language worth it?

I am not completely sure what i want to do in terms of careers so i wanted to keep my options open. I have a passion for languages and a keen interest in politics/IR so the course i am currently looking at is Politics and Portuguese. I know that some people go into careers with law with a politics degree, would a politics and modern language degree be seen as lesser than this? Also in general, would doing Politics and a Modern Language as opposed to a Politics degree limit my career options?

Any responses would be appreciated, please be honest

If you want to go into law, feel free to do a politics degree by all means! Most lawyers and firms in fact hire people that originally did a completely different degree to then doing a law conversion course.
Politics and Portuguese would be a good choice and to answer your question, it would not be seen as lesser.
Though keep in mind that for law, going to a good university tends to be important in my personal opinion.
