A levels this year difficulty

Would guys say this year A levels are of a harder difficulty than previous years? I've heard people saying their exams have been much harder than expected.

Personally, I have only done 2 exams so far both Edexcel.

Business paper 1: was quite a straightforward paper with one or two curveball questions such as 'emotional marketing' but otherwise quite simple
Politics Paper 1: Lovely questions for the UK Politics side the ideology questions threw some people but overall consensus saying it was a really nice paper

So from my current position at least for Edexcel this year, the papers have been relatively nice. Obviously, I've only done 2/9 papers so this could change

I think it's definitely a mixed bag, and obviously difficulty is so subjective + on many exams there are choices of topics which may be easier or harder!

Out of the 2 exams I've done (both AQA), I found Sociology P1 quite straightforward with just a couple of complex bits in it, but nothing awful. Combined English P1 though, I came out the exam feeling much more deflated! It does have a choice of topics on it + for my school's topics there were some very obscure questions.
