Help urgently maths

I don’t get how to do the part an and b.
For a I get that it’s reflected in the x axis and then in the y.IMG_2581.jpeg

For a) its just reflections in the x axis
|f(x)|
is f(x) when its positive and -f(x) when its negative. So just reflect the bits below the x-axis so that they lie above it. Then reflect the whole thing in the x axis to get -|f(x)|. Combining the two is easier if you just reflect the positive bits to make everything negative.

For b) you have a scaling (2) and the fact that its also reflected in the y axis due to the |.|. Stick some numbers in and work it through if unsure.
