Is B cells dividing by mitosis the same thing as clonal selection and clonal expansion?

yes, but they refer to a wider process. Clonal selection or expansion refers to the process in which the antigen binds to the antibodies on the B cell which then causes the B cell to be activated and then divide by mitosis.
