Movicol

Haven’t had a bowel movement in 2 weeks and really need something to help.

Has anyone used Movicol.

I was given movicol by the hospital previously so yeah it’s pretty decent. I wouldn’t expect instant results but it works after a day or two

That's a long time - I think you should consult a GP.

Movicol is brilliant but you need to give it time to work. The instructions will tell you how many sachets to take for fecal impaction which sounds like what you've got. But I agree with previous poster, go see your GP and get it under prescription.

Thanks for the advice

Yes I am going to make an appointment this week. I do have IBS but it’s never affected me in this way and is just very different from any of the symptoms I have had.

Yes all the more reason to see your GP. Hope you get it sorted soon.
