cybersecurity jobs
Hi, so im in uni right now and was talking to someone about cyber security.
Apparently people that graduated in cyber security, to get into it. they need to do entry level roles, like support desk, in order to move to a cybersec roles.
But people are struggling to progress and stuck in support roles for example.
Is this true, and why?

Because, for cyber security roles, you need industry recognised qualifications. Those can only be gained by doing a certain number of hours in recognised activities. So, with a cyber security degree you basically start work unqualified hence the junior level position.
