English gcse for immigrant

So I just moved to the UK this month with my IGCSEs. A few schools here want me to sit the english gcse this November. (I had done IGCSE ESL). Is it really worth it to study gcse English? Cuz I’m worried I won’t be prepared enough given there are only a few months. But I also don’t want a problem to arise while applying for uni.. any thoughts?
I'm pretty sure you'll be fine with IGCSE ESL, private and international schools, do them instead of the traditional GCSE's most of the time anyway. If you're really worried, just phone up the admissions team for the 5 universities you want to go and check whether they accept. But given the enormous amount of international students in the UK I'm sure they'll say yes.
