Where do you book accommodation and is accommodation close to university better?

Hello,

Nice to meet you so I am traveling to the UK this upcoming September and I am in the middle of my accommodation search. I wanted to ask if it is worth paying more money for accommodation close to university. I will be in Liverpool and I am considering few near the city center accommodation here

But they are not all close to my university. If anyone is living over there is transportation expensive so it is better to pay more in rent?
I do not like being right next to the academic buildings. I like to have a ten minute walk or so to get there.

Hi

I have a room at Cathedral Dwell that I need an occupant for as I am no longer going to Liverpool University. The landlord requires me to find a tenant for the room. I will transfer the contract at a discount to you if you are interested. It is a shared house, so gives the opportunity to meet other students. please get in touch if you are interested. The contract is for 42 weeks for the AY 2023/24 and would be around £115 per week.

The deposit is paid for you too

Hi there,

There is a huge amount of different options in different parts of the city. The university offer their own accommodation, in which only UoL student will live, you can check out lots of information about that here: https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/accommodation/

However, there are also many different private providers, a good website to find these options is here: https://www.liverpoolstudenthomes.org/Accommodation where only high-quality providers are listed

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Hi Nina!

Our Byrom Point property is a 2-minute walk to Liverpool John Moore's University or less than a 20-minute walk to the University of Liverpool. We have a few remaining en-suite bronze rooms available, which are in shared flats of up to 5 people. The best part is that you have your own en-suite in your room, and share the communal and kitchen area in your flat with friends!

I hope this helps and good luck with your studies.

Eleanor
