Can I still do good in A-Levels even though I didn't do that well at GCSE?

My school let us in sixth form with grade 5s ideally its a 6.
These are the A levels I'm thinking of doing: biology, chemistry and computer science
In my GCSEs I got: Biology-5 Chemistry-5 and Computer Science-6

Could I still perform better in A levels?

If you put in the work yes, but A-levels are a massive step up from GCSE. You need to make sure you are making revision resources as you go along, revising as you go along and making sure you understand all the content.

Would I have to look back on GCSE work to help in the A level subjects?

i wouldn't advise taking an a level in a subject u only got a 5 or 6 in at gcse (no offence). i got a 9 in spanish at gcse and did an a level in it and it was SO hard because a levels are so much harder than gcse. however if those subjects are things u are rly passionate about then go for it, you're just going to have to work hard because a-levels require so much work! you'll do great!
