Bristol Postgraduate International - Accommodation

hi everyone:smile:

i'm 25 yo LLM international student, hoping to start this September.

today i got a message from Bristol Accomodation team that they can't offer me anything. i'm a little (a lot) desperate as
a) i don't know anyone in Bristol or any students of 23/24
b) i haven't rented EVER, especially in a foreign country:')
c) i don't want to be completely alienated for the whole year

so i'm actively searching for someone in the same situation. maybe we can make a plan together, how to conquer Bristol accommodation scene...

or! if you've lived in private student halls in Bristol, i'd appreciate advice very much

Hey ill be joing Bristol for LLM health law and ethics and I haven't started thinking about accommodation yet. I'm an international student as well from India and its my 1st time too
Hey, I’m an international student enrolled into the LLM program (Sept 2024) at Bristol. Although I’ve not zeroed in on my accommodation, I’ve conducted a market search for now.

First things first, almost all the cheap options (within 30 minutes of commute to the Uni) for student accommodation are sold out. All one can do is join the waitlist. Cheap options range between £130-£200 per week.

The options available as of June 2024 range between £230-£380 per week. (This is with regards to Student Accommodation)

The only other option is to opt for private accommodation. It ranges between £150-£300.

Some ways to find private accommodation:
Facebook Groups
Local Broking Agents
Websites:
unihomes.co.uk
hybr.co.uk
rightmove.co.uk
rentbunk.com
roomies.co.uk
spareroom.co.uk

Lemme add the University guide on a few other websites.

Finally, all the best and I look forward to us crossing paths at Uni
