LLB flashcards?

Hi, I'm starting an LLB Law degree soon and in my A-Levels I absolutely sweated (and enjoyed) using flashcards - which got me A*s, so they worked...

But I'm reading Letters to a Law Student and it seems like this may not be the best method for revision - I was planning on making them as I go, and using spaced repetition to revise them as I go, meaning less stress in exam periods.

So are flashcards useful for a subject like law? Or are they a waste of time / not really compatible with the workload and type of content?
