Will my GCSEs disadvantage me plz answer

Hi,

My aim is to go to a top uni as its my parents dreams, they worked very hard to migrate to the UK just for me to study.

However i didnt come out with good enough gcses, i came out with ALL 6s and one distinction * in a btec. I luckily got enrolled for my a level maths physics and computer science. However i want to do Computer science major in a top university and i am scared my GCSEs will disadvantage me.

Any advice? Should i retake maths and computer science to try get higher grades?? I know universities care about a levels more but realistically how can i increase my chances of getting there? Please help im really upset :frown:

Other than a minimum grade for maths and English, which is usually at a grade 5-6, universities don't tend to care much if at all about GCSE results. However if it is very close between you and some other students who have applied they might take your GCSE's into account.
