It isn't expected that you memorise references or reference your answers in an exam.

Hey @teecool7,

From what I have been told (I am a final year undergraduate student at Kent) we do not need to have a reference list in our exams, just in text citations as much as we can. I have not done any in person exams yet (as mine have all been online before) but I would say try remember some key names attached to some key theories. If you get the year a bit off, it would be quite mean of the markers to mark you down for it!

I hope this helps but do check with someone at your university to know what is expected of you.
