Hey fellow Psychology Students!

Recently, I've been looking at ways to expand on the success of the weekly Study Together sessions we’re running every Tuesday evenings (https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=7443741) and one idea we’ve had is to run similar sessions for students studying Psychology .

The idea would be to have weekly sessions lasting an hour where you can come online and revise Psychology with other students. It feels like it could be a great way to build confidence with the content, as well as being a fun and sociable way to get some studying done.

Please let me know if this is something you would be interested in! If so, please comment on this post!

Hii, yes I would love this as I’m barely passing psych as it. Is there other revision sessions for the other 2 papers. And any resources that you could provide?

I do criminal and sport and from looking at past papers I reckon it will be Hall and Player for criminal and maybe Kroll and Krenshaw for sport - anyone have predictions for the big question on mental health?

I don’t think Kroll and krenshaw because I’m pretty sure that was last year. Also unlikely to be Zajonc cause it’s already come up twice. I think it might be Munroe-Chandler for sport. You’re right on Hall and player it has a really high chance of coming up for criminal.

Do you do both sport and criminal too??

For mental health, maybe Rosenhan and categorising mental health (seeing that it hasn’t come up in a while). Hall and Player for criminal psych and Barkley-Levenson and Galavan for child psych haven’t come up at all yet so at least 1 of them are likely to come up this year.

What was the 2023 environmental topic? Have established prob hall and player for crim although I seriously am considering the idea they will ask a topic that has been asked previously only once (e.g. I think raine and dixon have come up twice??) so maybe we're still looking at memon and higham, (possibly wilson and kelling but that was last year), and Haney (unless thats come up twice??). Any exemplar essays/ advice would be super duper appreciated

How likely do you guys think it is that they might ask Wilson and Kelling again? I don't want to take any chances 😭

Honestly fairly unlikely but don’t take my word for it😭 I think I’m going to brush over it but not focus too heavily on it cause the exam board haven’t done the same study 2 years in a row since like 2014 or something (according to my teacher)

Only thing that makes me think maybe is that they asked MWU stats test 2 years in a row - but then also I can't see them doing that for more than one paper??

Does anyone have a suggestion for a Wells section C? I've come up with - have lenient personalisation policies, identify who needs what early on, give women/germans more space(clutching at straws!!??!?!?!).

I'm really shaky on how I would structure a section C, any advice?
