does anyone have any tips for sketchbooks?

Hi!
I take photography and I’m currently predicted a 9 at gcse.
If you’re asking about structure of sketchbooks, I work on a very repetitive structure for each artist;
1) research page on the artist and analysis of one of the photos
2) photoshoot attempting to recreate / emulate one or more of their photos (I tend to do a contact sheet of about 200 and stick it in then select 3 to print in A5)
3) evaluate the photos i took
4) do a couple of photos extending their ideas / adding my own spin on it
5) evaluate the photos I took
6) repeat!
If you’re asking more about presentation, tbh I don’t spend too much time on it as it doesn’t gain marks, however I try to stick to a consistant colour scheme / lay out as well as same font for titles and analysis all the way through.
My main layout at the moment is mounting my photos on card then sticking them in, and analysis next to them typed out and mounted in white.
This is only my way of doing things and I know people who LOVE experimenting with presentation and make their sketchbooks super colourful and creative but if you don’t have any ideas or don’t enjoy it, don’t worry too much about it as sometimes simpler layouts can look the best!
Hope this helps and good luck with your GCSE
